For mechanical parts, such as shafts and transmission parts, some processing is required before or after machining to adjust the internal structure. Therefore, various processing methods have become indispensable for these parts. Modulation treatment and high-frequency quenching of gear racks are frequently used methods. So what are their functions? Let's find out with Fangyuan Gear Rack!

  Gear Rack Modulation Treatment

Understanding gear rack modulation treatment: This process combines quenching and high-temperature tempering to adjust the hardness, toughness, and machinability of the gear rack blank. This treatment is usually performed before machining to modify the internal properties of the gear rack blank before mechanical processing.

  Gear Rack High-Frequency Quenching Treatment

High-frequency quenching treatment hardens the surface of the gear rack. It is generally applied to carbon steel structures with a carbon content above 35%, such as 45% and 40Gr materials. Generally, after high-frequency treatment, the hardness of the gear rack will meet the usage requirements. Therefore, the hardness achieved by modulation treatment does not reach that of quenching treatment, but high-frequency quenching treatment only targets the tooth surface.
